Greetings Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
What a great time we all had at our Fall Festival! I appreciate those who took part, whether it be in decorating, working at the event or praying for God's work to be done. With one holiday over, it's on to the next. We recognized veterans in worship November 10. We are so grateful for their service and sacrifices, as well as those of their families while they were on duty. Our community-wide Thanksgiving Service will be November 24, at 4 pm at the Methodist Church on the square. FBC will also be having it's Thanksgiving lunch earlier in the day, following Sunday school. We have a lot to be thankful for this time of year as well as each day. As for Andrew County Ministries, Thanksgiving food baskets are in the works and Christmas assistance applications have started. Marian & Ken Vogt plan to retire from their faithful service to the food pantry early next year. If you are called to that ministry, please let me know as we are working on a transition plan with a team of people to take up the work. To God be the glory, Stephanie Mefford
